Saving for Web

If you are applying for a job or internship you will often hear talk of "saving photos for the Web". It sounds intimidating but it's really simple.

Just make sure the photo is set to 72 DPI
- image> image size> Resolution> change to 72

Then go to file Save for Web and Devices.

This will save a separate image file that is ready for the Web, it is compatible.

Try with this image.
Tips-
1.) Unless you want people making posters of you photos, 800x 600 pixels is a reasonable size.  Adjust it to something like that if you are e-mailing.
2.) JPEG will loose quality, but is usually fine.
3.) If you are sending photos in e-mail for business you want higher resolution ( ~1 MB+)  if its just snapshots for FB, size them down A LOT ( maybe 200KB or less... )
4.) JPEG= low quality, but good for Web, takes up very little space. TIFF= high quality, not necessary for Web.
